stupid qustion probably but how do funnel traps work and has ne one got a pic of them

 

"The 'funnel' is very widely used in traps of all kinds; who hasn't seen a lobster pot? The principle is that the quarry animal will squeeze inside, aided by the shape of the funnel and lured by the bait. Once inside it is unable to escape either because it cannot find the small exit hole or because it cannot get through it. Funnels are not very effective for ground vermin but work well for birds both horizontally and vertically."

Although top funnel traps will actually work for mice.

Ground funnels allow birds to walk in and the funnel shape helps them to just squeeze through the smaller opening. They are unable or unwilling to walk back out. Top funnel bird traps are a bit like ladder traps, allowing birds to drop in but not fly out.
