paul03118 0 Posted November 18, 2008 Report Share Posted November 18, 2008 Hi guys i'm new to the sport of airrifle shooting and i'm looking for a non FAC airrifle to hunt squirrel's, pigeon's ect ect and i'm conffused which of the hw80, hw95 i should go for? i was just wondering what the diffences are and which one is better. mistwalker 0 Posted November 20, 2008 Report Share Posted November 20, 2008 The 95 is a good bit lighter and, therefore, a bit easier to carry around all day. The is a classic though and can be tuned quite a bit, but it's weight means it's better suited to hide shooting or short walks unless you've got a good bit of upperbody strength (remember, though, carrying it is only part of it - you need to have strength to keep it stable on target after a stalk etc.) Accuracy-wise, both'll do the trick - just don't ask the dreaded ".177 or .22" question... donk 12 Posted November 20, 2008 Report Share Posted November 20, 2008 Ive shot the hw 95 and it was a very nice rifle,ive owned the hw90 and again it was a very nice rifle. Think i shot a hw a few years back,but it might have been the hw77? not sure. Anyway,of all i would choose the hw95 simply for the fact it weighs less. Theyre all as good as each other in my opinion,though im no expert on airguns. Humping a heavy rifle round the fields dosent appeal to me,especially towards the end of the day.
