Anyone shooting near southend?

Hi All,

 

Just looking to start shooting, and wondering if there is anyone in the southend on sea area, who wouldnt mind me tagging along and showing me the ropes?

 

Due to some impulse buying im fully equiped and ready to go. Any help would be much appreciated!

Hi Ian,

 

I'm sure that once the folks on here come to get to know you well enough, you might touch lucky somewhere. Once you gain permission on somewhere to shoot, it may be worth asking someone on here along to go with you to your shoot - that way, you will find it better (as a rule) because, as you will no doubt find out, places to shoot CAN be somewhat 'difficult' to come by.

 

I guess what i'm trying to say is that everyone (rightly so) is very protective of their shoots, and may not be too ready to let someone go with them, for fear of the risk of losing that shoot?

 

But like i say, if you can get a place in your name, try asking someone on here in that area along for the ride - i am sure they will give you what help they can. It is a pity you are not situated nearer to me really - i am always willing (where i can) to help others learn the ropes.

If you drive i'm near grays i allways do a bit of shooting and wont mind you tagging along for a bit of rabbit shooting.

A good 3 times a week if i get the chance when i get my rimfire it will be even more what gun have you got?

Daystate air ranger, bought it on the understanding i had some one to go out with for a while to show me the ropes, but they have now started working away. So its hasnt even been fired yet!

 

If you dont mind me coming out, would be really appreciated, (could also do with a hand zeroing in the scope).
