iv got saluki x hound first cross, he is 18mths old he is very well breed but is not fast enough to stop a h--- other wise known as the big ears fella any suggestions or what should i do

i've got a wee saluki cross as well an running next to my greyhound bitch he looks slow !!! but in the bigger open spaces he comes into his own where stamina is required rather than just outright speed..are you running him in small fields by any chance???? if so take him to a bigger open space an then try him.. just a thought..cheers chris..
