ghostlyease 17
Saturday 8th Nov 08, last ACES day of the year! All the usual fun stuff going on at Handcross Hill, Haywards Heath, RH17. (15 mins drive south from Gatwick airport) 100 meter runs now electronically timed with our new timers. Long jump or A frame, although Aframe can be used throughout the day. There are other activities available for use throughout the day, Boomer ball play, Springpull, Mill. Off the top of my head the most common questions are... Q: Its all Staffords, can any dog attend? A: Yes any breed is welcome, its mostly Staffords because the society grew from a group of friends that owned mostly bullbreeds. We would really like to see different breeds at the events so if you have a different breed of dog, please feel free to come along! Q: How much will it cost me? A: Cost is £5 per dog for the whole day, all activities. Q: How long will I be there? A: Plan to be there all day, if we finish early we can do a bit more on the lure, some group races ect. Q: Where is it? A: ACES is based at Haywards Heath, RH17, about 20 mins South of the M25 Q: Can I bring my own food and drink? A: Yes of course you can, we do provide a rent a cup system, £1 a day and you top up with any drink when ya like, we also sell food at extremely cheap prices, Chilli and Stew £1 a bowl and in the summer BBQ food (spiced chicken pieces, pre cooked before being BBQ so we dont poison anybody, burgers and sausages) £3.00 as much as you can eat, lol... Prices may vary in time of course but as long as we cover cost thats all we want. Q: What do I need to bring? A: A crate is a great idea to put your dog away into while other dogs are running, we have a large enclosed holding area for dogs that do not have crates. Your dogs collar should be well fitted, slipped dogs are not good, a spare lead is also helpful. ACES website Ways apart from the car to get to the venue. [rail] Balcombe Station (RH17 6JG) Station around 3 miles away. Faygate Station (RH12 4SH) Station around 4 miles away. Crawley Station (RH10 6BE) Station around 4 miles away. [airport] London Gatwick Airport (RH6 0LD) Airport around 7 miles away. Shoreham Airport (BN43 5PA) Airport around 16 miles away. Any further questions or information please contact me via PM, I have maps and the postcode for those that wish to come. Although this is the last ACES day of the year ACES is holding a day in aid of charity in December all breeds welcome
ghostlyease 17
Would also like to add we often do group races at the end of the days if we have the time, dogs are grouped not by breed or type but by times, definitely great fun to watch! Dogs can opt out of the group racing and run singly if they so wish, all dogs that group run must wear muzzles!
