Grim Reaper 1
Adam, Thanks very much for the pictures bud - much appreciated! I am reckoning that when you get that butt pad off, you will be able to do what i was saying in the post i made - with no probs whatsoever. I would also suggest a good way forward with regards to the butt pad is to get one of those adjustable ones (they cost about £12- £15 or so form most gun shops) they are much better in my opinion. You will not be needing much lead to balance up the S200 mate, so the tube won't need to be as long as say, mine was. Therefore, the hole in your butt won't need to be as deep either - another plus for you! lol Like i said in the PM, you can get the butt pad off with a bit of patience and persevearance (sp?) - i am sure you will be ok with it all mate. I feel confident of that. After looking at the pics, i can see that what i was thinking about the butt pad is as i thought it was - once you get a bit of the pad edge raised up from the butt itself, you can use your fingers to do the rest. After that, 'tis a simple matter of marking out for drilling the butt hole, if and when you get that far, like? All the best, Grim. Quote Link to post
Adam-RunningDog 1
All this was for me to improve my standing up shots well i been doing a little practice i started at 20 yards they were shit with my bipod on took the harris bipod off and my shots where amazing i am really shocked with my accuracy i think because i been trying to shoot with the bipod on my muscles encreased and allowed me to shoot better without it because of the weight so looks like its going to be some work on the golf corse tomorrow night, Grim got to give it to you mate your a clever bugger you know alot dont you, you modified any guns mate ? Well its my brithday now the 13th of november and i might keep some cash to do up a ratty for the barn by me but the only problem the farmer has put poison down and their disapiering rappidly i am not a happy bunny:( only get to see 4 at a time if im lucky the last one i had from there was the lurcher was good fun though got to admit Got any good ideas for a ratty modification mate ? i know timelords done a cracker Quote Link to post
Grim Reaper 1
Hi Adam, I guess i do know a bit, yeah - its just what i have picked up over the years really, and retained. I haven't done any mods in the usual sense (the only mods i do to my rifle are those to make it better for me to shoot) but i know enough to maintain my air rifle to legal limits, and service it myself - that sort of thing. Saying that, i have removed my trigger internals and polished each of my sears up, put it back together and now its as smooth as a piece of glass! I just tend to get an idea about air rifles in general, and then if i like it, i will generally go to my workshop and construct a rough prototype and see how it goes, so i can see if it will be good for all types of air rifles, like? Most ideas i have physically gone and made do work well, and as intended. I do it for enjoyment really, but the plus for me is, if anything i make works well, i will then go and share it with you all I have also made my own walnut thumbhole pistol grip stock, with stippling on the grip and fore-end - pictures of which are to be found in my profile, and in my signature if you want to look? Although i have not done any modifications, i am always willing to learn something new All the best, Terry (Grim) Edited November 1, 2008 by Grim Reaper Quote Link to post
