Back Stabbath 1
Took Murdock out last night lamping, for the second time. Didn't catch anthing but saw 2 big rabbits on the road, was so annoyed I couldn't let him off, one in the back pitches of my school, I let him after it but it was too close to the hedge so it got away. Murdock went mad looking for it though so I guess thats a good sign. A hare ran across the pitch but it was too far away. Went all around the bloody town to fields. I think I didn't go out late enough because the first walk around the back pitches there were no rabbits, but the second time I went back there was a few but they weren't far out. (at about half 9) Got locked in the school grounds so had to go around the long way and down the town to get out! Went to some fields where I was sure there'd be loads. None! As we were walking thru one of the cut rape fields heard something. Shined the light and it was a badger! There was more than one too, could hear them splashing away thru puddles. That was cool because I've never seen a live one before. Met some friends of mine in a field beside the town, some of them drinking, so stopped there for a while. Going home, I let Murdock have a run cause he didn't get a good one. Suddenly a huge white bird flew over my head. It was really silent with rounded wings so I'm guessing it was a barn owl. Totally awesome! Never seen one of those before either. It was a good night anyway even tho we didn't catch anything. Gone out for years during the day, I'm gonna go out at night from now on! I'm getting a stronger light soon. I only have a normal torch. I went out at about half 8 but I think it was too early. Anyone got any tips on lamping? Quote Link to post

Back Stabbath 1
Yeah, just wish I had a bit more land to go through, its all getting built on now. All the fields where I used to live are gone, and every one of my friends fields got built on. Huge bloody estates. Its a horrible sight when you know what used to be there. But anyway, we'll keep at it until we get something. Might go up to my uncles farm. Thats a lovely dog you have in the picture by the way, I'd love to have a blue dog. bump Quote Link to post
