cyclonebri1 8
On my last .22 rimfire I ended up with a Tasco,(proper one) 6-24 x 40 scope. It was the one with what I think is known as target turrets. IE you set the verical zero and then fitted an externally marked sleeve with gradations that corresponded to certain ammunution. You actually got a set of these for popular calibres and a blank one to be engraved at various ranges to suit your use. So effectively you focused on the target, noted the rangefinder scale and set the turret to that range. I grew really used to that system, never having to bother about holdover distance estimation etc. That was some time ago, pobably 17 years, I found the scope receiot the other day and I paid £180 for it. I'm stting up again and want to go to something similar, but don't want to spend that much or at least any more, this time round. Anyone else shoot the same way? or have any recommendation?
