An hour out tonight.........

Just got back from a quick walk out and one of those nights you love when every thing gos right.

Walked off the track on to some short scrubby type grass and had a quick shine with the Logun lamp using a red filter, the rabbits round hear are very lampshy and the filter seems to give me that extra couple of seconds.

Picked out some eyes in the scrub and lined it up in the scope, the rabbit starts to move steadily to cover at about 15 meters, tracking it all the way in the scope, as soon as it makes cover it stops as they will sometimes do, squeeze the trigger and a nice satisfying crack as pellet makes contact with skull. :D

Next stop a gate way on to some private ground

Creep round the bushes and rest the gun on the top of the gate, flick on the lamp and 2 bunnies sitting out at 15 meters and around 30 meters.

Line up the crosshairs on the closest rabbit and squeeze, It didnt even twich, just fell over dead as a doornail :D

Second bunnie starts to move toward cover and im tracking it in the scope all the way, as soon as it stops I let one fly but miss, lucks run out, but no, it turns round confused by the noise of the pellet hitting the twigs in front of it and moves back in to the open :p

It sits down out in the open at about 40 meters, Im feeling confident, so I raise the cross hairs 50mm above the glowing eye and squeeze off the shot.

Crack, a short squeal and its time for me cocoa :good:

All the best
