I and my friends own and work Jagdterriers from estern european lines,we work them to ground and they are hard dogs, most of them will kill fox. They have a good nose both under and over ground. They are higly trainable and can be used to hunt wild boar and for blood trial.

i've one male pup with 9 months, they are hard and start very early.

they are the kind of dog if you don´t give him game or hunt he will go alone and hunt anything.

my dog started ratting 2 months ago, last week was the boar test that he succeded and at the end of the month we will go on the foxes. But anything that runs from him with fur or feathers is to kill.

he is from a breeding german x Tcheck bloodlines but his ancestry only hunted fox and wild boar, i'm hoping to dig some nutria and the big black, white and grey next year.

until then we will develop is working skills.

he is coupled with a patterdale bitch.

his breeder breeds them to be very hard and schools/train them from a very early age.

they have the best nose in the terrier world and are the most versatile terrier around, they hunt bears, cougars, wildcats, wild boar, beavers, otters, badger, fox, rabbits, haire, mink. above and below the ground.

i think i know why they aren´t used in England, it's because they are very noisy. they bark alot!!!! that and because it's a german breed from english breeds. please i don't want to be bad understud but there is some truth in this and don't be ofended.

i thank alot to all that contributed to the develop of working terriers.

i don't take any importance in flags and nationality shits.

it's a fracking global and multicultural world my friend's. let's enjoy it.

don't forget that the german hunting terrier is called jagdterrier and not 2 separarted breeds.

it's a good all rounder terrier.

try one, you can be very amazed with his game.

but that's my humble "newbie" opinion.

best regards
