jasper65 6
A friend of mine a good few years ago went to Finland to Import some Goshawks! the trap they used over there was simular to the one in the link below but was fitted with a release mechanism which realeased a Homing pigeon when the trap was sprung. by all accounts the Trapper would sit at home and when the pigeon returned to his loft he would check the ring Number/Colour to identify which Trap was sprung then on with his Ski's or snow mobile and head off to that location. Just out of Interest what are the legalalities in this country in useing such traps for the use of moving on problem birds or perhaps to retreive birds lost by Falconers?.. john b 38
Jasp I'm not sure about the legality There's issues from the protected species side I assume but also there is law prohibiting 'mechanical nets' But have a look here http://www.thehuntinglife.com/forums/index...showtopic=31912 Quote Link to post
