mk3 ferret locater using terrier collar

just beens given a free mk3 graphite ferret box was just wondering if i got a mk3 terrier collar will it work always used the proper box to the collar use to have a mk3 longrange box collar now got me a b&f just wonting to no because if it dus work properly i could give it to a young lad up the road from me that just starting off just got him a nice fell/patte/laky dog for him and he is looking for a locater box collar i gave him sum off my hemp 6ft fox nets and one off my heavy duty spades i now it will only search up to 16ft and locate up to 8ft but thats ideal for were he will be digging he be coming out with me for a good few diggs show him the way to do the job properly then hopefuly try to sort him out sum of his own permission all the best silenthunter......

You said you got a mk3 box, you got a mk3 collar.... they are the correct combo allready?? I may have read wrong like, but all deben collars will work with any box. Ive used mk3 box with mk1 collar, and vice versa. The only thing is that they will not have the range of the correct collar. And the readings are way off, usually they show the terrier to be further under than it actually is.

ok thanks bud he have to use my b&f for the abit then dont wont a folse reading bud on the terrier i wont to now when the box says 4ft its going to be 4ft thanks bud just wonted to help the lad out and show him the ropes all the best silenthunter.....
