another American Lurcher

Kye, they just got good at it thats all. They were not at first of course. Tuck was so reckless as a 6 month old pup that he got his ass handed to him on every coon he fought until he was about a year old or so and then one day he just figgered it out and that was it. He was not a powerful dog cause he was so little so being reckless he could not kill them that way so he had to get smart. The truth is that what made him good at it was cause he never quit up to the day he died. Scott and I talked about it a bunch and I was always waiting for the day that he was gonna pack it in but he never did. Of course they all get better after there gone but I liked them two alot.

I do not shoot ahead of my dogs. I will finish one off with a .22 if I can get into a bay up or whatever the case may be but I do not shoot ahead of my dogs. I only dispatch coyotes that they catch fair and never ever do I help them with a truck or anything like that. I hate that shit with a passion. If they cant catch me then the yote is free to go which is the case alot. I cast them into timber or down creeks or down fence rows. I put them on a coyote track in fresh snow that was likely made an hour or two earlier hoping that the coyote will be layed up somewhere out there and they will jump him and run him. A good race last for about 15 minutes to and hour. Some races have last way way longer though up to 3 to 4 hours which I hate them kind and your day is done and probably your next day too.
