im currently putting in for my shotgun licence iv got it all filled in and signed by justice of the peace butt when my mate put his in the other day it was a cock up with the signing of the photo's i know you got to send 4 photo's in butt how many do there need to be signed altogether??

One has to be signed and dated by you and another has to be signed and dated by your countersignatory(Your Justice of the Peace).

 

The other two are just spares they use for the Photo on your Cert.

iv had my counter signor to sign 2 now do you think it would be ok for me to write on another 1 because it wont matter whats on the back of the other one because it wont be seen on my sert? cheers mate

Well you have four anyway. So if he has already signed two, you sign a further one and then leave at least one blank.

 

That should be fine.
