mooshka 22
went to worcester whippet racing clubs t and l show today and saw some discusting behaviour as one car full of people slagged off the judge and called abuse into the ring all because their dog wasnt picked . i wasnt showing just watching but makes you wonder why some people take things so bloody serious its only a bit of ribbon at the end of the day for god sake . makes you think if they know so much why dont they put their money where their mouth is and try judging I Must've missed that It does piss me off to see adults spitting their dummies out at shows... especially when a judge has stood in the ring for hours in the baking heat to to 'their' best. Surley we must all know by now that you will take the best dog home with you regardless of anyone elses opinion. I show for fun and did yesterday but always with the mind of some you win.. some you lose.. I had a great weekend in Worcester.. My Willow won the puppy racing But it was so hot that I couldn't be arsed to show in many classes so sat under the sun canopy, watched the showing and chilled with friends With a good supply of tea and bacon rolls On the way home my son and I stopped for a break and watched Willow have her very first course in a big stubble field... was the best feeling... better than winning any rossette or trophy !!!!! Well done and thanks for the time committed from the Judge at yesterdays show Too hot to stand in a ring...
Jim Grant 4
I enjoy getting out of a Sunday and seeing what everybody else has in their kennels. You might get a bit of work for your absolutely marvellous canine, get someone with some good ferrets (and wee dog) to help sort out some of your problems. The last two weekends up here in Scotland it has been Hunt shows. Plenty of working dogs about and they were picking up rosettes. Off course they were nowhere nearly as good as your own animal with perfect confirmation, solid as a block of concrete, which never leaves your heel unless it is told to. The craik was good and a bit of friendly straight racing thrown in puts you in good heart.
