PitbullxPatterdale

Recommended Posts

I have a couple of pretty handy "Jeep" type bitches which have shown well and produced some winners. I have recently put my Patterdale dog over the smaller one with a view to getting some outcross vigour in the line. The Patts down here are starting to get a little close "like Tasmanians" (I'd hate to see two headed dogs down here

Do any of you chaps have similarly bred terriers and if so - how do they go?

People in the us have made and hunted the cross, from what I gather they are schyco hard and get themselves killed. Not enough but to back up the driving nature of the beast, sure sounds like a warrior but not a good idea to be put to larger stonger game?I have had the thought cross my mind as I have a 18mo old hard on game jeep cross female, but there is a Breeder in the us.And I will watch his progress with the experiment as I feel if anyone can do it will get it done! Our setts are smaller in the us I belive and we need a smaller dog,so this cross will have to be bred down to less% pit more patt over a few generations and it will most definetly put more fire and heavy jaw power to the end result. But maybe a quiet engaging dog not easy to find in the woods??
