ferreterni 29
thanks. To be honest I thought shooting was what was done, didn,t realize people would put a dog in to have a go, sounds bit pointless to me, would gladly watch a lurcher running a bolted fox tho. Surely shooting em is the best and quickest way to dispatch fox. Quote Link to post
ferreterni 29
Strange, how so? I was under the impression that after the terrier has done its job, the dig has been dug and the terrier moved to safety, the fox was dispatched with a shot. I am 100% behind working lurchers to foxes, and am training up a lamping lurcher for this job, Am in northern ireland so is legal still. I jusn't never thought that a big dog was set down onto the fox to dispatch it. I'm relatively new to a lot of the terrier and fox work having mainly done ferreting and bushing. Quote Link to post
