Guest hunter66 Posted June 11, 2008 Report Share Posted June 11, 2008 ive just got 2 baby ferrets last nyt from exellent working stock so im going to start working them when they are old enough but im also wanting a dog to go a long side them so can you plz help my q's, what sort of dog will i need for ferreting? why that type of dog? what will the dog be able to do? how to use the dog propley? thanks michael Quote Link to post
Guest little lurcher Posted June 11, 2008 Report Share Posted June 11, 2008 my first choice would be pure whippet , have a look around for proper working stock though, after that would e the whippet beddy mix, the bitch in my avatar would be the type you would wanna go for mate , smaller whippet x greys are fine too as is the smallcollie crosses, with a whippet you wont go far wrong Quote Link to post

If you want something for net work as well then Beddie/Whippet is my prefered choice. I have worked both for many years and the pure working whippet is hard to beat.........and a lot tougher than they may first appear. Rolfe. Quote Link to post
