Rolfe 2 Posted June 8, 2008 Report Share Posted June 8, 2008 Found this small set of front footprints this morning whilst checking mole traps........in a sand pile alongside a wood. Any guesses would be welcome.........i am open to suggestions. I honestly am not sure but they do look "ferret" like...........and there are some ferals around here....but maybe a bit small so was thinking along the lines of a stoat maybe? I can tell ye though that moist sand like that will hold a cracking print - no distortion worth consideration. Thus it's my guesstimate that they may be a little big for stoat? Just being nosey and wondering what it was up to ) There were rear prints but very indistinct............so couldn't get decent picture of them.........but it could be a dog stoat.
