dlrc a con or not

Basically you are paying for a certificate which is complied from the info you send to them, along with your fee. You could fill out Mickey Mouse as the dad and Minnie Mouse as the mum, and they will take your money and send you the tacky looking bit of paper. The main reason these registration clubs were set up were so that breeders mass producing pups could add their own "registration" onto their pups (thereby increasing the price) without going through the kennel club, as everything a breeder produces is there in the quarterly BRS for the world to see. So they came up with the (clever) idea of starting their own registration to help sell their own pups, and make money from the public who also wanted to register pups which for whatever reason, couldnt be kc registered, ie too young to have a litter, too old, had 6 allready, endorsements on the pedigree, not pedigreed, not kc registered or last but not least, not even purebred. I think some people just like to be able to put letters in their puppy adverts, DLRC PPRC etc so they can command a higher price than puppies which have no kind of registration. IMO it is a con yes

Its up to you what you do with your money, but I guarantee if you know the way your dog is bred and can type, you would be able to knock something much smarter up on your computer at a fraction of the cost
