Single Handed. . 1
Got a salukix collie x weaten wit a bit of bull on the dams side. its a stunner lukin pup, hes at the five to six month age now. five an a half months to be precise. i like to start my dogs early since two months hes known what bunnies were he picked a bunny up at four months an off he went to finish eatin his catch i was really disappointed he did this from eight weeks old ive had him bringin things back to hand from balls to pieces of rope etc. once it came to the real thing he was off lol. since that day i have only threw the real things for him to bring back. i have bin gettin out the last couple weeks for the bunnies with my air gun takin the pup along with me i have found this to be the most effective way of introducing the pup to both lamp an rabbits at night. he works the filter really well lookin straight down the beam. once shootin the rabbits hes off an bringin them straight back to hand. anyone think this is a good method to bring pups on? to get them retrievin? i have found it the most effective way to introduce the pup to its dutys. i have not long joined the forum so i will hav pictures of my dogs on soon enough. . . stormrider8 59
Nothing wrong with that mate. My grandad taught me years ago. He used to walk in a field and drop a skin 4 the pups without them knowin, send them back and retrieve it. Once there doin that from an early age theres no stoppin them. Quote Link to post
