Hey lads just got myself a rabbit trap.Never ever used one.Can someone tell me where best place to set it and what do you use for bait?Cheers in advance.

Exactly the same mate.I have never used one,just wondered what the best way to do it.Do you cover it or not.

My permission is a wooded area,but the rabbits are comin from the railway.So the area is pretty wooded with bushes.I was thinking of putting it closer to the railway fence area as there are some dog walkers and want to avoid prying eyes.

If you want a good basic intro then the following technical advice note from DEFRA on rabbit cage trapping is not a bad place to start:

Obviosuly not as good as learning from an old hand but there we go.....

 

Have a look an then come back with any questions- there are some very experienced trappers on here....
