First off I must say I have never owned one and am used to shooting Browning/Miroku's.

I have shot a round of sporting with one. My first impressions, while shooting a Rabbit, were good and that it was comfortable to shoot, even more so if the adjustable stock were to be adjusted to me. I shot some stands well with it but then it turned to disaster when it came to higher birds and crossers. The balance of the gun on these shots was bad in my opinion. It felt to me like swinging a drainpipe, the one factor I can attribute to this is the light nature of the stock as it contains no wood and so the balance is upset. The model I shot was a 32" Sporter with Multichokes.

Some may like it but my advice would definately be to try it out before you buy it. Go to a ground with a good selection of guns for sale and see if you can find a second hand one to shoot.

Or even try and find one with a wooden adjustable stock.

You have about written my experiences SS. Like you I have not owned one, but shot quite quite a bit with a "black ice". They sure look different and feel very different. Crossers take some getting used to, think the one I used was a 30". The chap at the club who owned it, never really got to grips with it and chopped it back in for a normal Browning. It would be nice to try the wooden stocked version, but no one I know has one.

Thanks for that guys, so go for a gun with wooden stock?

Well, as I said I have yet to try the wooden stocked Cynergy (The Pro Sport), but I imagine it will feel much better than the composite "Black Ice".

Don't commit to buying a composite one without a good trial, is all I would say. Mechanically, they are identical I think, same outline on the wood stock as the composite, very low action height. They certainly look different, and come with a 10 year guarantee.
