bill88 6 Posted April 9, 2008 Report Share Posted April 9, 2008 Have just bought two old books written by A.Croxton Smith from a local antique and reclamation place.Titles are "British Dogs" and "Terriers,Training,Working and Management".Both books were published in the early 40's and even whilst just flicking through i noticed there are several references to "Patterdale Terriers" In one paragraph he refers to terriers working with the fell packs as "Patterdales,also known more recently as Working Lakelands" Only had a chance to flick through them,and will hopefully start reading them later.Has anyone read any of this authors work,or is anybody familiar with the name? must admit i hadnt heard of him untill today.
