Anyone In Pompey?

What it is, I discovered tonight that one of ye is. He's been PM'd. Here's the craic:

 

I've become my families Genealogist / Historian and am working on our 'Family Tree'. Obviously, it's all on line and I'm able to display photographs there. Trouble is, I never got involved in all this untill I was myself hundreds of miles away. Now I'm out of the country entirely and so Pompey might as well be the moon.

 

But it's not the moon, is it? It's the city I was born and raised in. And my family has deep roots there. Generations of us having been born, raised and died in that city. And I know where. Obviously, I remember the appearance of many of the places. But I can't display my memories, on a web site, for my families decendents to see. I need photographs.

 

Just to make this clear; I only want shots taken of the properties from across the street. I'm not asking anyone to knock doors or anything. Who or what is now inside is no concern of mine or anyones. I just want to be able to show the more or less style of places we lived. Those that haven't already been pulled down, that is!

 

Nor will I be handing anyone a street map and asking them to take a day long tour of the city, shooting dozens of properties. Every one I can get covered will be a great bonus and deeply appreciated. Who knows? Ye may happen to live down the road from a target address. Pop off a shot on ye way out. I'm not out to put anyone out.

 

And, believe me, just about every nook and cranny of that city is relevent. In time, we've lived all over it. From Portsea to Highbury and beyond. So, if ye live in / around Pompey, or even visit it and habitually carry a camera, ye may ~ if ye so disposed ~ be able to do me a great favour at very little cost to yeself.
