The original post was written so as to imply that the exhaust fumes would be used to kill the moles i.e poison them by CO, indeed if you started putting exhaust fumes down mole runs they aint going to bolt. Exhaust fumes, used in this instance, are being used as a posion and thus have to be registered as so. Carbon monoxide is not registered for the killing of moles see here for some advice on legal methods http://www.defra.gov.uk/rds/publications/t...ical/tan_03.pdf The difference between this and the rat flushing scenario is exactly that- you are not intending to kill the rats with the gas but flush them to be taken by dog/gun or other legal method. If you block holes and deliberately use the gas to kill by asphyxiation you are commitng and offence by using a non-approved compound etc etc etc Dose this help or hinder...... Quote Link to post
