Tallyho 181 Posted March 29, 2008 Report Share Posted March 29, 2008 i know a couple of you on here have metals dectoers, so i want a bit of advice if you can, ive just seen a metal detector on ebay, its a Garrett ace 250, is this a good one or something to stay away from, they want £170 for it. Rolfe 2 Posted March 29, 2008 Report Share Posted March 29, 2008 Sounds like a Garrett Treasure Ace.......they do a 200 and a 300 i think............i have used the 200 and it is an OK detector for the newcomer and has discrimination settings a well. I know the 200 was about £250 to £275 from memory when new.............so if it is mint i would seem a good price...........you would be better buying seconhand from a detector outlet though..........check internet for suppliers they all do good seconhand models and you have some redress should problems arise.
