FPO 0
Dont know if anyone can help, On the farm where i milk there is a 2 year old bitch with a lovely nature with humans but not so great with Call ducks She was bought as a present for the 12 year old son who unfortuantely was not able to train it as needed. She is not very well house trained (think they gave up) so now lives in a large pen with 2 other dogs. She gets on fine with dogs and also their bossy cat But at the second sucessful raid on the prize call ducks father has now said she must go before she gets to their 40 chickens! There has been one home offered however they are concerned that the dog would be used on illegal quarry ie foxes and badgers. Ideally they would want her to go to someone who could get the best out of her and give her the attentioned needed. Could probably make a good little ratter or rabitter? Please no judgements on the situation - I have views on the matter too! All i am trying to do is get the dog homed and not go somewhere that I dont feel is suitable. The dog is just outside of bodmin. She is mainly white with a few tan patches (I think just on ears if i remember right) Please keep in mind that although she was started with house training I think it is going to be back to square one unless you keep her in a kennal outside. Thanks Mel Edited March 18, 2008 by FPO Quote Link to post

FPO 0
firstly apologies wink hound as you can see i am into my lurchers not terriers so please excuse me and my mistakes - I am only aware that there are some not so reputable terrier people around and i have heard say that this perticular chap works on the theory of put the young dog down the hole followed by an older dog and if the young dog doesnt come back up alive well it wasnt much cop. Seems too harsh to me. Understand that there are totally legit working terriers, doing work with foxes. no offence ment. Ruin - I dont at the moment, I will try and get one over the next couple of days probably tuesday. Forgott to mention she is a smooth coat not rough. She doesnt have to go for working if there is someone interested in her just as a pet, but felt that people on here would probably have more ability of dealing with her issues. Quote Link to post
