Trish_1967 0
I'm getting one of my jills spayed next week so I phoned around to get the best price for it and one vet quoted me £165!!! I was stunned. After a few more phone calls I found out my own vet does it the cheapest at £55. So she's booked in next tuesday. Im still gob smacked at the first price I was quoted though - it just shows its best to shop around a bit first Probably quoted high because they didn`t want the job, or didn`t have anyone capable of performing the op. I asked my vet if he had ever operated on a ferret, he said no, never been asked to. basil. Sadly they only tell you that after quoting an extortionate amount!! I am very lucky where I am as my vet used to keep ferrets himself and is incredibly knowledgeable about them. He also only charges low rates which is a bonus. Trish Quote Link to post
