ianrob 2
I saw GSW mention snaring videos on utube, so I went for a nose about, and as you would imagine, there are Yanks crunching about setting stainless steel wires in the snow and the usual tat. Then I found this. Who needs the truth to ban snaring when a little propoganda will do. and this http://youtube.com/watch?v=UozIYKdcwkc&feature=related Edited February 17, 2008 by ianrob Quote Link to post
Guest Ditch_Shitter
I can't view You Tube on my connection, Ian. But I was pondering, just the other day, how well some of the " Twats " who would claim to be very much on our side were doing such sterling work for the Anti's cause, right here on THL. Banging on about endless ways of dealing with " Non Target " snare catches. Most particularly badgers. I ran it past the Forum Mod's but, no, it was left to run it's course. All have been long since recorded by now, of course, by those who'd see another band of paint added towards the corner they And some of us are painting Field Sports into. Mr Waters et al have long since provided plenty of information, on here - which if one took the time to study it - would completely preclude Any untoward results from the use of Fox Snares. Setting heights, Step Overs, the " Break Away ". It's all there, for all to see. But, no; Youngsters with the attention span of a dead ant will still look, with open mouth and bulging eyes and trousers at a well caught fox. Then dash off and litter the countryside around themselves with steel wire nooses. Then turn up on here banging on about everything from hares to badgers in their 'Fox Snares'. Nothing said. Nothing done Oh, but once they Ban them? Oh, Then the key board bashing uproar! " The Injustice! Those f*cking Anti's have shafted us again! ". Er ..... pardon? Who will have shafted ye? ianrob 2
Aye ditch, I know what you're saying. Some of the things I've heard have not been good for us. I've pulled one or two for suggesting things on here with traps too. We must be seen to be responsible caring people. Most of us are and Glenns designs are there for the taking. AS you say, a properly stopped noose with a break away, a step over and checked twice a day, would alleviate all the criticisms pointed to by LACS. I hope you catch soon in your Larsen too Ditch, I was nearly in myself. I had an idea for a crow trap today, I saw a magpie larsen at a farm shop and it gave me an idea for a trap for catching call birds. I'll draw it out and post it. ian. Quote Link to post
