leec 132
you can sort the lightforce wireing easy mate just get a good quality piece of cable like lawnmower cable for example and then take of the original wire from just inside your handle but leave enough spare to re join to the lawnmower cable then push up in side the handle tie a not so it cant come back through and thats that it has lasted me for ages and dont even look like going wrong. id go for the blitz its a little bit big but it will do all the land you like sometimes with a striker you will wish you had abit more beam Quote Link to post
Guest lurcherboy2008
ive just read in the CMW in ian jodge fieldsports and it said that the 240 with a 12v 14amp will do approx 5 hours lamping, but the 170 with a 12v 17amp will do approx 4 1/2... does this tally up? im might go for the 240 what would you go for? atb,lamper12. aryt sonny mate? i got 2 strikers an the wireing is shit on them! gd lamps tho i use a 17 amp replaceent battery lasts about 5-6 hours! if i was u go on arhtur carter! blitz 240 with a 18 amp battery pack it £158 i think not sure u will have 5 good hours lamping out of that an it comes very handy for the places where u lamp coz iv lamped up ur way! IF u wan a lil more lamping then id buy the same battery as me from arthurs its a 12 v 17 amp lasts about 3/4 hours bit heavy carrying 2 batterys plus ur catch tho all the best with ur pup an oh do change the ciggarete lighter bit on the end of the wire to spade ends otherwise u will h haveing faulty wires,,,,trust me happens with 140,170 an 240 Quote Link to post
Guest JohnGalway
Haven't read all this thread, and I'm not a dog fella but I've an idea about lamps. Cheapest place I found to buy a 240 Blitz is on Ebay from Australia, cost me 104 Euro shipped to my door. Congratulations if anyone can beat that in a new lamp. Cheapest spot for Strikers I found is Target Sports in Bolton. Secondhand lamp that's even been half cared for is worth buying IMO. Yes, the wiring is substandard on them. But, it is easily fixed DIY style. I'm not at all handy that way and I did a Lance and a Striker and I have a Blitz to do soon, don't let it phase you, they're excellent lamps other than the wiring Quote Link to post
