Raider 0
Anyone have experience with mossberg pump shotguns? I was looking at the Mossberg 500 for general rough shooting and foxes so was just wondering whats the general opinion about them. How do they handle? weight? recoil? cheers Quote Link to post
bshadle 5
I have a Mossberg 500 for 20 years now and am happy with it.. They're not the fanciest nor highest quality, but they perform well and hold up fine. Handling, weight, recoil are about on par with a pump shotgun. The tang safety works equally well for both right and left hand shooters and is right where it should be if you shoot doubles. For the money they're a pretty good deal. Quote Link to post
salukiwhippet 6
I've got one as my work gun and can't fault it. Mines had hundreds of thousands of cartridges through it, and never bats an eyelid. I've got a slip on ammo holder on the butt with 6 50gm bb's in in case I encounder charlie. As has been said, they're not the prettiest of guns, but pretty doesn't kill things! all the best, James Quote Link to post
