The problem with the anti's, is that they want all dogs to be pets. Cute, fluffy, friendly creatures, whose sole purpose is to amuse their owners, to give them an excuse to leave the house once a day for a nice quiet walk & a sniff of some other dogs arse. What's more cruel? Keeping poor old fido in the house/yard, only to be taken out at his owners whim, or letting that dog do what's natural, using it's sense's to the full. Just look at a sighthound when it catches it's first sight of quarry, listen to a foxhound speak when it smells the smallest scent of charlie, a good terrier nearly breaking its collar in it's eagerness to get down that hole, knowing what's down there. A working dog will lead a much happier, fullfilling life than any dog kept purely as a pet. Some people would rather forget that the different breeds of dogs were bred into what they are today, by humans for a purpose. No other animals in the world, share a relationship like that bewteen man & his working dog. The world would be a much poorer place if this special bond was forever lost, because 'The dog looks nice' & 'Killing things is nasty' I bet these same folk think nothing of sitting in front of the TV, and watching a lion hunt, or an eagle taking a rabbit.
could, nt have put it better mate :clapper::thumbs:
