did you get the leaflet with the whistle? if you did then follow the instructions to the letter.

iv found for best results to keep the whistle dry and dont blow into it but exhale.you can change the sound/pitch by moving your tongue nearer to the hole.as HENDY says you will find it works better on windy nights and on large areas of land.iv had mine for 4 years now and take it out every lamping session.

try it in daylight it works well .if you do call in charlie i switch to hand calling ,close in it tends to make em a bit skittish.

youll also attract the attention of a few owls they also seem to like the sound !
