hi, i'm new here and new to the whole scene, i've recently taken in a young rescue pup, she's turning out to be a tough little worker but i've no idea what she is.

she looks identical to the two dogs shown in von's article in working terrier articles entitled ratting for beginners. anyone help?

the terriers in that article look like russel crosses.your terrier should have natural instincts to try and flush rabbits just incourage her to enter the cover and give her plenty of praise on entering the cover she will soon love the idea of entering and lavish in your attention :good:

thanks guys, she's identical to the one on the right, i'll post photo's soon, she's 51/2 months now and she's almost there with the usual obedience training, just get's distracted from time to time. eg she sometimes has more interest in trying to get the lurcher to play than listening to me, but all in all she's getting there.

sometimes she doesnt seem to keen on getting into undergrowth and bushes and stuff, othertimes i have a hard job keeping her out of it, any ideas for getting her to go flush on command?
