Guest davieboy Posted December 26, 2007 Report Share Posted December 26, 2007 clutching at straws here but does any one know of anybody after a second hand tag heuer ladies watch!!!!!, £1300 brand new, just had it valued by the jewellers £900 would like as much as possible as i am skint LOL. Not really sure where the market is for a watch like this it was bought for my wife by her rich parents for christmas a few years back. Hardly worn immaculate but needs new battery, comes with original box but no papers but any jeweller can authenticate it. It is a wg 1326 discontinued model Link to post Share on other sites

Guest davieboy Posted December 26, 2007 Report Share Posted December 26, 2007 i like your logic mate (my first thought as well) but the jewellers in harrogate said there is no market for it here as if someone is going to spend the best part of a grand on a watch they will buy brand new so they didnt have any interst as they did not think they could shift it!!! i am open to ideas and offers realistically about 350ish Link to post Share on other sites

If you dont they wont touch them, pricey watches and a lot are stolen and try to be sold on (not imlying that here) I have one, cost £895 new, it has one pin that needs replacing, would cost max £20 to fix, I was offered £400 (jeweller WITH broken pin) for it untill I said I had no papers, then they wouldnt touch it, its the same everywhere. Each watch has a serial number which they can check against a central register, if they are stolen or lost they report the number, if it crops up again, they have the ability to catch the thief or buyer, or at least you look a prize pratt for buying it! I cant prove where mine was bought, like you it was a gift, but rooting round with dogs is hardly the right plcace to wear one of these! so like you you i wanted to sell it, still do.
