FERRETBOY 680
me and dad took fern for a couple runs on the lamp the other night ,the rabbits were thin on the ground and the ones which where out didnt stay around for long.coming towards the end of the night we had a little luck and had two squatters.the first we got to within a yard or two but it just sat tight and fern couldnt see it ,we tried to get it to move so fern could see it but she was looking everwhere else except the bunny which was sunk into the grass.when it finally did it took fern by surprise but she nearly took it on the run within a few yards ,this one took her threw some trees but she stuck on it and then the rabbit was back out onto the field then straight under a barbwire fence with fern snapping at its scut.fern just couldnt connect and this rabbit made it to safety.fern was straight back and then we headed to the next location.the next run was just perfect ,30 or so yards into the field ,dad walked her to it on the slip and this rabbit headed back to the hedge we just walked from.fern was straight on to it ,struck but missed and then it tried to lose her on the hedge line with 180 degree turns back and forth but fern kept close behind and finally pinned it down.then we headed home on a high.both pups are now 9 months . good hunting rew Edited December 20, 2007 by REW Quote Link to post
