Vicious jill

Recommended Posts

Last winter a friend owned an albino jill that was coming up a year old and hadnt seen a rabbit hole before but was played with and handled daily by his next door neighbour. one weekend we took it out the first warren it was entered in straight down no hesitation but nothing was home, next sett she went down and 3 bolted rabbits later she surfaced, i went to pick her up to box her and she wouldnt stop trying to bite me so i put her in the box and collected my nets. i then got her back out and she was fine. she went on to do this after every bolt but was fine 5mins later has anyone had a similair ferret?

Hi mate, I had a jill like this many years ago, and she was exactly as you say, and boy did she bite, and meant it. She once knocked against my hand as I tried to pick her up while she was jumping about. I put her in the box then realised I was bleeding. She had bitten down the edge of my index finger right through like a knife cut. After that, I always tailed her when she was uptight, because she was fine when she was calm. I can't offer much advice, other than say mine was always like that, but the litter I got from her was great, in fact little Rosy, one of her kitts was not only the prettiest, but the best ferret I ever had. Good luck with her, but watch your fingers. ;)
