Guest Rabbiteer
I did ask someone about this a while ago but I have cant remember what was said. The most popular greyhound crosses seem to be breeds like collies, Bullies, GSD, beddies, whippets and such. My quetsion is, that in the search for the ultimate lurcher/greyhound cross why do people not choose to use any of the Gundog breeds like the HUNT-POINT-RETRIEVERS, Labradors, Goldern Retrievers and such like. There are plenty of working field champions out there with plenty of working pedigree history, so why do we not hear of these already field proven breeds being crossed to produce NINJA-FAST running dogs. I was thinking of a Greyhound X Labrador. A greyhound type dog with a thicker coat and with thicker larger feet and stronger legs might not be a bad thing, plus with the implanted notion to retrieve. Im just thinking as I have plenty of time on my hands at the moment. I, myself have a little Whippet X Collie thing that im really looking forward to get started this year. would really be interested in your thoughts. Wishing you all the best, Nik Edited November 19, 2007 by Rabbiteer Quote Link to post
