Guest deano606
My lurcher is two years old in January and is pretty well trained in recall and household commands. I'd love to get her hunting however, as she's at her happiest when chasing squirrels and would enjoy seeing her breeding at work. Am I too late to train her to hunt? What would be the best way to start? Also, any ideas on jump training? thanks! Quote Link to post

I locked mine in the local playground and walked off .. she didn't want to stay on her own so jumped over. I kept doing it till she was confident and jumping on command. Shes not too old. Take her out and see what shes like Quote Link to post
witton 6
Just get a lamp and get out mate Just try and pick a squatter and walk up onto it with the dog on the slip......as the rabbit lifts slip the dog She how it goes it might click quickly might take a couple of nights but at 2 years old it will soon pick it up Just make sure teh dogs reasonably fit first to avoid injury Where about are you? the best thing to do would be to get out with someone so you cans see how its done Witton Quote Link to post
