Out again today went on the top farm of 2, rigged up and ready to go , dog shoots of after a bunny short run retrieved to hand, sh#t mixy.dispatch it and move on 3 more as we cross the field , get to where we want to be dogs marking looking good , long net round ferret in 2 sharp ones then ferrets lift.this pattern went on for several warrens where we normaly get good num ers, we only do them once as a rule.dogs picking od ones up as we go get to the big warren at the top of the dogs mark up longnet round ferrets in, quiet for a while then 2 out together both caught then silence.have alook around with grey box nothing, a good half hour later and a fewsweeps nothing, then my mate says look at that rabbit over the wallrunning up the hill full of soil, I look up to see a ferret come out of a hole following the rabbit.cannot believe this this hole is over a stone wall and 35 to 40 feet from the main warren up a hill, I go up to get the ferret but she has gone back down waite a while but nothing, dog stood shacking with exitment , box out mark at 2 foot dig down 1 rabbit out then the ferret then4 more(buzzing now)fill the hole in gear up home time, a couple more on way back.finished up with 26 good and 7 with early mixy ,ferrets will eat well with these, happy days.
