rifleshooter 0
This was the result i had on the lamp last night, the night was very quiet and there was a half moon so it was also quite light, however we have had them on full moon after walking for a while and calling nothing had been seen, then the familiar sight of a set of eyes were spoted, this fox was laying in grass that was quite long so all i could see was its head,it wasnt botherd by the lamp ,a prone shot wasnt possible so it was a case of resting on the gate post and waiting for it to present a good clean chest shot however it just wouldnt move even the call wouldnt lift it from its resting place,a good clear head shot was possible so this is what i took and down it went paced out at 180 yds, then a couple of fields further on another was spotted but because it was so quiet it heard me geting over a fence and started to make off stoping only ocasionaly first i couldnt get a shot because of the sheep in the field then it stoped and i forgot to knock the safety off Ouch: finaly he stoped again no mistake this time he fell to a 55 v-max this one was a little over 200 paces during the night another two were spoted but one winded me and the other was lamp shy so it was off like a rocket,i know there is another shooter that lamps this area so weather he has took a shot and missed i dont know,so it looks like an early morning look out is needed Quote Link to post
