getting really interested

ave just started to get interested in going out with me dad with the dogs, cos since weve got the new pup he wont be able to handle two dogs :11: so i was wondering if anyone had any usefull tips on hunting with the dogs, cos am used to going shooting or ferreting. a mean my dad would give me tips and stuff but i cant beleive everything he says :11: so if anyones got any helpfull tips please share cos a want to start going out with me dad on a nite time.

Best advice I can give you mate is to spend some quality time training and bonding with your pup (is it a lurcher?) on its own before you start taking it out with the other dogs that way it'll be more likely to listen to you and obey commands, instead of just following the other dogs and giving you a "deafie" as pups can be prone to do. Once your happy your pup is listening to you and can be trusted to come back when called etc, then take it out with the older dogs, but dont do too much too soon, a very young puppy can strain its tender young bones trying to keep up with adult dogs - I dont usually take my pups out with the older dogs until theyre at least 6 months old.
