Mink Vs Terrier Who Would Really Win?

Recommended Posts

Ok, just thought I'd write this new topic, since the silly terrier vs mink debate is spread across multiple topics.

First off, it was a silly and rather stupid debate that could never really be resolved. I unfortunately share much of the same qualities of the terrier in that I don't back down, even though I know it's pointless and a fight I know I'll never win. I still can't help but jump into a fight when the opportunity presents itself.

Let it be known that I am fully aware that any decent terrier could kill even the best of mink. I've always known that, and the whole silly argument was over a hypothetical mink or a hypothetical dog.

Being that no working terrier weigh under 5 lbs, and no mink weigh anywhere near 15lbs, there is no way to possibly test our theories as to who would win or who would loose. So since no one knows the truth, our arguments over who would win are rather silly, and not worth the effort.

So since it was my fault that this ever got started, I hereby call a truce. I will do my best to ignore any further comments on the subject (though like a game little terrier I'll be pulling on the leash ;) )

Despite the fact that I was arguing against the terrier winning, I actually have a lot of admiration for terriers, and wish my mink had some of their attributes. Terriers are far tougher and much gamer than any mink. For years I've toyed with the idea of breeding a game bred mink, but we'll see if I ever go through with it. If you could have a mink as tough and game as a terrier, you would have quite the force to recon with!

But in short, let us call an end to this rather pointless argument, as neither you nor I will ever know what could have been in the imaginary fight that we have dreamed up in our imaginations.

Let us instead admire the strengths of each animal, while admitting their weaknesses.

Terriers are far more fearless, tougher built, and much more game than any mink alive.

Mink are quicker and much more efficient killers than any breed of dog in existence.

These are facts that can be easily proven, and the rest of our arguments are all hypothetical. So lets just leave it at that, and move on to discussing topics we can actually learn from. :)
