A while ago i did a post defending historical Irish dogsport and the working qualities of the dogs used,Staffs,Glens and Wheatens.What motivated the article was a very fictional account of historical Irish dogsport in which these dogs participated written by the fiction writer P Burns.Burns has recently had another go at Glens which i replied to his blog on another forum,in response to my reply,which he obviousely has taken offence at he has seemingly accused me of being an internet "troll"working for the police,connecting my defence of Irish dogs and dog men with the recent expose of dogfighting,claiming it to be what he calls a" honey pot".

Just for the record i will continue to defend these dogs and the men who have worked to maintain the admirable qualities of them and their historical and now limited uses in the field.I would also like to say to Burns that if he has any other derogatory remarks to make on or to Irish dogmen to please have the courage to do so on the nuetral ground of an open forum instead of pontificating from behind your fictional blog.
