Browning Hmr 17 T-Bolt

Feel a bit silly asking this question ,but here goes, .I've just bought an HMR17 ,was zeroing it in last night ,afterwards i went to clean it and i couldn't figure out how to remove the bolt .Also ..what do you guys use to clean inside the barrel ?.

try this.. pull the bolt back to the open position then depress the trigger and then the bolt should pull the rest of the way out

On the T-Bolt you open the bolt a centimeter or so, then you depress the small silver button at the rear of the bolt housing. Once depressed, the bolt will slide out.

 

I use a cleaning rod and patches, followed by a brush.

For my Rimfire I just use a boresnake and a little ballistol oil

 

How are you finding the T-bolt, I had a look at one at my local dealers but I found them to be a very small rifle

It's tiny ,it's been years since i've owned a rifle and i can't believe how things have developed . By the time i put a nice scope ,bipod, light and sling ,moderator ,it now feels a bit more weighty ,the thing is insanely accurate .

 

Just tried using the boresnake and it broke ,i now have a deep cut on my pinky
