Cleanspade 3,322
I use Nikon and have also been down the sigma route...I have now seen the light and will only buy Nikon lenses .buy an older second hand lens if funds are short. I have a 300mm f4 ed lens and that is brilliant...old, heavy and built like a tank but takes fantastic sharp images. this is the route i fancy going down. how do you find out the best. older lenses that are compatable with your camera? ps still wondering if anyone uses the extention tubes and if they are worth considering. ? ade33uk 86
The d3100 doesnt have an inbuilt focus so the new lenses do the automatic focusing work for it , therefore a lot of the older lenses will only work in manual mode ,making it harder to take tracking shots of your dogs running/sports etc . its still possible but it is harder (its proper photography then ).
