Denny essex 15
If you reccy'd the field beforehand and they were hitting it sounds like you started too late and finished too early, usually with winter rape be set up and ready before dawn, shoot till they dry up ( if they oblige) leave the hide there if you can, go to the pub till an hour and a half before dusk, go back to the set up for the possible night feed. Pigeon can bulk up real quickly on rape so unusual for them to be on rape for long periods or all day apart from odd straglers. Thats what us Essex guys do , the pubs always warm Edited November 7, 2013 by Denny essex Quote Link to post
