Bsa Supersport Scope Rail Advice

Recommended Posts

Hi there, I'm new to this forum so please excuse any mistakes on my part.

I own a break-barrel BSA Supersport in .22 which I've had since I was about 12. She's an absolute beauty and a real joy to shoot and hunt with, however even with the best quality double screw scope mounts, (I have used both Hawke and Guntuff) there is an element of scope creep after a long period of use.
I was considering a one-piece scope mount, or the available arrestor block but in my opinion, they spoil the looks of the gun.
The other option is to fit the BSA maxi-grip scope rail, which is used on the Lightning models. The only issue is that I'm unsure whether it will fit my Supersport, and also how much is a fair price to pay for one.
I was wondering whether anyone has any experience with these rails and could give me some information regarding it's fitting to my rifle and how much I should buy one for.

Any information will be appreciated, :)
Ed

I have found one for sale for £20 which seems fairly reasonable.
