lurcher with cats

I suppose it's nice to be remembered for something...even if it isn't my acute hunting skills

think the trick is you dont allow your pup/dog ANY interaction with your cat, people think its cute when the pup try's to play with the cat and laugh at the cat see'ing it off. What they dont realise is when the pup is bigger and the cat cannot be bothered, one well placed swipe from the cat and the dog retaliates...there is no going back.

Only gentle, controlled sniffing. The pup will soon get bored and leave it alone if it is not allowed to play with it. The dog has to know YOU allow who lives there, not them, so if you say its ok, then it is ok, be it another dog or cat.

As Higgins said terriers are more risky than lurchers, a lurcher will start to chase but once they see it's one of their own they stop, a terrier has a much shorter fuse!
